Neglected pug dumped in the dark by the side of the road

Petunia was found collapsed in the road in north-west London

The RSPCA has appealed for information after a pug was found collapsed and dumped in a north-west London street riddled with infection.

Petunia - as she was later named by RSPCA staff - was found abandoned in Links Road, Cricklewood, at around 11pm on Friday 18 March. She was curled up in blanket with her head down.

Can you help find a lost Chihuahua?

I've received a very sad email which I've attached below. If anyone can help please do:

Hello I was just wondering if you could put an advert through your show please? I lost my Chihuahua dog "pip" when he ran out of my house on Monday. We are from Norton-on-tees but by now he could be anywhere in Stockton-on-tees. He is 8 months old and did not have his collar on but he was wearing a black "007" dog tshirt. His coat is a tan colour.
Please could you ask anyone with any information to contact us at 01642 892762.

Jacob is still missing - can you help?

Back in January this year Jacob went missing. His owners have done everything they can to find him, yet there is still no concrete trace of him. Someone must have him somewhere - quite possibly someone completely unaware of who he is. But since Jacob is microchipped it should be easy to reunite him with his family, who are missing him dreafully. Here's an email I received today about Jacob:

I am contacting you today for your help.

Please help us by looking at Jacob's missing poster attached, he is a rare breed Bracco Italiano, a highly distinguishable dog that could have been advertised in your local paper for sale or offered for rehoming.

Jacob is still missing

Jacob is Orange and white colouring, stands about 27" to the shoulder, entire, was (in January) slightly built, and has a small pea sized lump under the skin on his left shoulder.
Most importantly, he is MICROCHIPPED.

Sad as it is Jacob is still missing some 8 months on, this still torments our family.

A sad story with a happy/sad ending

The headline Family's heartbreak as council rehome runaway dog during holiday caught my eye, and on reading a very sad story emerged. Scamp, a beautiful Lhasa Apso had been part of the de Lacy family for five years, since they rescued her from a dog shelter. They lived happily in Monmouth, Wales. However when the couple went on vacation, they left Scamp in the care of the daughter in Liverpool.

Gone (or lost) but not forgotten

Hi we are back from our holiday, which was great. There has been sad new while we were away, with the death of that wonderful dog Endal. I was so sad to hear of his passing, and so glad that we got to meet him. You can read more about Endal in Beverley Cuddy's blog - but be prepared to cry.
