RSPCA warning over welfare

The RSPCA today warned that animals could suffer as councils are being expected to deliver more welfare work with no extra money.

Mayhew Supporters Raise Funds to Replace Stolen Animal Ambulance

In August last year, one of Mayhew’s vital animal ambulances was sadly stolen and was never returned to them or reported as found.

But this week the London-based animal welfare charity are delighted to announce that, thanks to their generous supporters raising over £17k, they have been able to receive a new, replacement ambulance.

Mayhew’s animal ambulances are important to their work as they rely on them to help transport the hundreds of sick and injured animals they rescue every year. They were devastated when their trusty Suzuki Carrier was stolen.

Mayhew's Tinsel & Tails Black Tie Fundraiser

Mayhew’s annual dog friendly fundraiser, Tinsel & Tails, sponsored by Pets Pyjamas and Barkers For Dogs, is returning on Tuesday 5th December, from 7pm till 11pm, bigger and better than before.

Guests and their four-legged friends will be treated to an exclusive evening like no other at The Grand Connaught Rooms in Holborn, London. Dog places have now sold out, but you can still grab plenty of cuddles from all the furry guests throughout the night.

Being an RSPCA inspector can involve abseiling down a mountainside, swimming while fighting to stay afloat in all your clothes, and dealing with animals ranging from primates to pythons. Despite the challenging nature of the job, the RSPCA is anticipating thousands of applications for the position.
