Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity, has teamed up with some of the nation’s most famous faces to launch their iconic campaign, ‘A Dog is For Life, Not Just For Christmas’, following a year of ludicrous excuses offered up by dog owners when giving up their pets to Dogs Trusts 20 rehoming centres across the UK.


RSPCA rescues animals abandoned at Christmas

Busy festive period for charity despite abandonments at lowest in five years.

The RSPCA has rescued hundreds of animals, from guinea pigs to a ferret, which were abandoned during the festive period.

Officers at Britain’s biggest animal charity were on duty throughout Christmas and the New Year when they were called upon to rescue animals that also included chinchillas, cats and dogs.

Paul certainly knows how to plan a four-legged Christmas as he shares his home with six pigs, nine sheep, four owls, two goats, four dogs and an army of chickens. He will also be appearing in Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs at Christmas at 6pm on Christmas Day on ITV1, which is filmed at Battersea.
