Oh deer!

Animals do the funniest things. But sometimes they can get themselves in a bit of a pickle and need a helping hand to set them free.

That’s where the RSPCA comes in. The animal welfare charity’s dedicated officers and inspectors spend their days rescuing pets from cruelty, helping sick and injured animals, and freeing both domestic and wild critters from rather embarrassing situations!

It’s not just dogs & cats at Battersea


Battersea Dogs & Cats Home takes in hundreds of dogs and cats each year, but staff were taken aback when an unusually long-eared arrival came through their doors.
The Mini Lop rabbit arrived at Battersea’s London centre on Monday May 1, after a kind member of the public found her on the roadside not far from the shelter.
Battersea didn’t have a hutch to hand, but luckily member of staff Amy Baird did. Amy, who works as a lost and found assistant at Battersea, offered to give the rabbit a home- naming her Lotus.

Dangerous deer, doggy access and delightful puppies

I spotted a few things in the news or on the net today that I thought might be of interest to dog lovers. Firstly, a story about a dog who was savaged by a deer. No that shouldn't be the other way round. Okay - some would argue it should be the other way round, but it isn't. Apparently the deer in question has "fangs" as it is Chinese water deer. Years ago some of these deer escaped from a safari park, and they, or their descendents, are now living wild
