Three-year-old Japanese Akita cross Alfie has spent far too long looking for his forever home. This big goofball is very intelligent and knows lots of commands which he’s happy to show off for a treat. He loves to run around and snuggles up to you for a cuddle. He is a nervous boy so is looking for an adult-only home where he’ll be the only dog and can have all of the attention. He can get anxious walking on the lead past unknown dogs but he enjoys playing with dogs he knows.

Bella (now renamed Booboo) was adopted by Katy Fenwick and her family - from Bromley, south east London - just a few weeks before Christmas 2020 and soon settled into her happy ever after.

When five-year-old mastiff Bella arrived in RSPCA care in July 2020 she was severely underweight and malnourished. She had very bad skin - due to a flea infestation - and was anemic. Staff spent six months nursing Bella back to health but it was touch and go whether she’d pull through.

Gorgeous gentle giant Anya may only be a baby but she still tips the scales at 54.5kg and measures in at approximately 1m tall! The Tibetan mastiff has specific needs - due to her size - and is ideally looking for someone with experience of her breed, or someone who is prepared to do lots of research on what she’ll need in her new home.

She is loyal, affectionate, clever and strong-willed but can also be aloof and takes her time to get to know new people. She’ll need to meet her new adopters multiple times before she can go home.

Okay, so Joe isn’t actually a giant breed but his beautiful, fluffy coat makes him look like a rather large (and adorable!) bear! He was in a sorry state when he was rescued by RSPCA officers alongside 20 other husky type dogs; and was filthy, matted and had never had a bath or a brush.
