This Valentine’s Day, the RSPCA has revealed the dog breeds waiting months for their new home.

While most RSPCA dogs are rehomed within an average of 41 days, American Bulldogs, Rottweilers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers can wait up to 80 percent longer in rescue centres.
American Bulldog cross-breeds wait the longest at 74 days, with American Bulldogs waiting 65 days, the same as Boxer crosses..

Why does nobody want one-eyed Tyson?

Crossbreed dog is still waiting to find his fur-ever home…

RSPCA staff and volunteers in Buckinghamshire are desperately trying to find the paw-fect home for a one-eyed dog who is their loneliest pooch.

Tyson has been waiting for a home for 295 days (as of Thursday) and, despite having a small fan club online, still hasn’t found his perfect match.

As the five-year-old rottweiler-cross approaches his 300-day milestone, staff are doing all they can to find him a home to call his own.

RSPCA wants to see Fraiser leave the building for a new home

One-year-old crossbreed Fraiser being ‘overlooked’ by potential adopters.

The RSPCA is desperate to find a special home for long-stay dog, Fraiser, who has been overlooked by potential adopters time and time again.

The one-year-old blue/brindle-coloured crossbreed has been at the charity’s Blackberry Farm Animal Centre, in Buckinghamshire, for more than six months.

He ended up in RSPCA care because his owner could no longer care for him.

Sweetheart Kira desperately seeks home

RSPCA staff can’t understand why nobody wants to take lovable dog home…

Kira is affectionate, fun, and smart. But that doesn’t seem to be enough to find this crossbreed a new home.

The two-year-old shar pei cross Staffordshire bull terrier (pictured above) arrived at the RSPCA’s Block Fen Animal Centre, in March, Cambridgeshire, in September 2015.

Staff believe potential owners are put off by Kira’s shyness around new people but have urged the public to give this sweet dog a chance.

Elderly rescue dog reunited with worried owners thanks to microchip

Fifteen-year-old Maggie went on a little adventure before the RSPCA returned her home.

The owner of a collie-cross who wandered off during a walk has urged all pet owners to get their beloved animals microchipped.

Amanda Devlin’s mother was walking 15-year-old Maggie (pictured left) in Barnet, where she lives, when the crossbreed disappeared on 24 March, prompting 48 hours of frantic searching and worrying.

Emerald is the 1000th dog of 2013 to arrive at Battersea

World famous animal charity Battersea Dogs & Cats Home has already welcomed its 1000th dog of 2013 to its iconic London centre.

Seven week old Mongrel puppy Emerald arrived at the charity along with his mum and five littermates after his owner was no longer able to care for them and turned to Battersea to help find them a new home.
