Lonesome tonight? Perhaps you have the perfect home for Presley the rescue dog!

Golden oldie rescue dog feeling ‘all shook up’ after waiting for a home for two months.

Rescue pooch Presley is searching for a new home after months in kennels - perhaps you’ll be the one who can’t help falling in love with her?

She may be nothing but a hound dog to some, but staff at RSPCA Leybourne Animal Centre have got that lovin’ feelin’ for eight-year-old Jack Russell terrier, Presley, and can’t understand why she hasn’t been adopted in eight weeks.

Claire Yorke, animal care assistant at the centre in Kent said: “Since Presley came into our care after her previous owner couldn’t look after her properly anymore, she has been a bundle of joy and we all adore her.

“She is an amazing girl who loves fuss and attention and despite her years she is very young for her age. We just can’t understand why this lovely girl hasn’t found her forever home yet.

“Presley would like a home with a comfy sofa to lay on and owners who will take her for fun walks and let her potter around at home in a secure garden, and be with her for most of the day. Despite being an older dog, she’s got a lot of energy, and though we take great care of her here, she isn’t completely happy living in kennels. We’d love nothing more than to see her go to a friendly, caring home where she can start a new life. She’ll become someone’s best friend and their little shadow!

“We’re really hoping that once more people see her pictures and hear all about her, they’ll get their blue suede shoes on right away and come to meet her.

Presley would suit a calm household and staff are fairly sure she’d be happy living with children over 10 years old, but she would be most comfortable having somebody at home with her most of the day. She could possibly live with another dog who has a similar personality but would prefer not to live with cats.

RSPCA Leybourne Animal Centre is located in West Malling, Leybourne. To contact the centre please telephone 0300 123 0751.
