Researchers surveyed 2,000 UK cat and dog owners, and discovered as many as 81 percent think of their pet as the greatest love of their LIFE, while 41 percent see their furry friend as their child.

The study, commissioned by MyPet.com is backed up by industry figures, showing as many as 58 percent of dogs - and 72 percent of cats in the UK have not been protected with annual vaccinations in the last year and are missing regular veterinary health checks. Yearly
