A spaniel who was rehomed by a rescue centre as a puppy in 2007 has sadly found herself back in their care 14 years later, after one of her adopters died.

Tandie came into the RSPCA Cornwall branch’s care this summer after one of her owners sadly passed away and her family couldn’t take care of her.

Scottish Ministry of Defence Police officers raise £2,000 for retired police dogs

A group of Ministry of Defence Police officers from Scotland have raised more than £2,000 for a dog welfare charity by running and cycling 350 miles around Aberdeenshire.

On Saturday 14 August, PC Phil Duncan and his colleagues set out on their 12-hour running and cycling challenge around CNI St Fergus to raise money for the Thin Blue Paw Foundation; a national dog welfare charity that supports working and retired police dogs.

'Young Pup' hopes for first best friend on International Dog Day


You’ve heard of puppy love, well one young rescue dog is hoping that someone will want to be his first ever best friend this International Dog Day (26 August), after being in the care of Battersea for 170 days.

One-year-old Bull Mastiff, Bruce, came into Battersea’s Brands Hatch centre in March after being found abandoned as a stray, but so far he has struggled to find a home due to his overexcitable and puppy-like nature; which is no mean feat given his already impressive size.
