Furminator - not a superhero, a grooming tool

As a Labrador owner I know all about the amount of fur that a dog can shed. The amazing amount of fur a dog can shed. The incredible, mind-blowing amount of fur a dog can shed that makes you ask the question, "How come that dog isn't completely bald now?" I brush, I sweep and I vacuum in a vain bid to keep control of the situation, but the fur builds up around the edges of the room, and clings to furniture and clothes.

Is your pet what he eats?

Burgess is a company that makes a variety of pet food, and they contacted me today with the information below. I think the survey results are interesting. Clearly, many of us are perhaps over confident when it comes to providing our pet's nutrition; nearly one third of those surveyed didn't think they needed any advice on pet food, yet over feeding, misfeeding and so on ar becoming ever bigger problems.

Dog toys are not just for dogs

If your dog is interested in toys (which I guess most are) you'll know how much a good play enriches his day. Our dogs love their toys whether it's chasing a ball or worrying away at a distraction toy to get the goodies out of it. Buddy's favourite toy of all time was his Kong Wubba, which is the only toy he ever stood up to Star over, refusing very un-Labrador-like to share it. Star loves her plush squeaky telephone toy, but she can only have supervised access to it because Buddy would see it off in two minutes flat.
