Dog Parkour

Emma Hendy puts the emphasis on fun and positivity with her clients and their dogs. She is Pawfect Ability in Frome, near Bath, in Somerset. Emma includes Dog Parkour in her classes because it is so beneficial for dogs and people. Emma is a Emma Hendy a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and a Dog Parkour UK accredited trainer.

Emma explains what Dog Parkour is, how you can get started, and how it is suitable for both very young, and older dogs. You can tailor the objects your dog interacts with, so their bodies are not stressed.

For listeners outside the UK, check out the International Dog Parkour Association website.

Parkour is about interacting with your environment, what’s around you on walks and in the house and asking your dog to do different quite simple behaviours – nothing too tricky - and getting a load of fun out of them interacting with the world.
