Dog news

Julie and Jenny discuss some important issues in the dog world, and classify them as canine (good) or K-nope (bad).

The big news right now is that the French Bulldog is fast becoming the most popular dig breed in the UK and US. But is this good news for dogs, or not? Julie and Jenny talk about the many health issues that the breed suffers from, including Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome, which you can find out more about at the Fitzpatrick Referrals website.

Research into the top ten dog breeds to be stolen in the last five years has revealed that the breed most often stolen is the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Though that controversial French Bulldog is at number three. As well as discussing dog theft, Julie and Jenny talk about the steps you can take to keep your dog safe, and the measures they themselves have taken.

Plus find out about the dog DNA database the Gloucestershire police are setting up to combat crime, the police man who has a prosthetic leg and adopted a dog who has prosthetics of her own, plus the Labrador who livens up his walk with some environmentally friendly clearing up.
