Carolyn Menteith

Puppies come in and they're not licky and cuddly, they're bitey and manic, and they're sort of like velociraptors most of the time!
 - Carolyn Menteith
People are completely shell shocked by the fact that they get this creature and it's nothing like what Lassie told them it would be
 - Carolyn Menteith

Carolyn Menteith is an experience trainer and behaviourist who aims to help owners and dogs get the most from life. She won the first Kennel Club Accredited Instructor (KCAI) scheme's Trainer of the Year Award in 2014, and writes and broadcasts regularly on a wide variety of dog and animal issues.  So if a puppy has turned your world upside down, let Carolyn  help you sort it all out and get some order back.

This interview was prompted by a comment someone made to Carolyn that their puppy was "mean". Here we discuss what kind of  behaviours puppies do that could be interpreted as mean, why they really do them, and how we can help them make better choices. You can find out more about Carolyn at her Dog Talk website, and for more help with your puppy, visit The Puppy Plan website.
