Puppies sold in pet shops, puppies sold on the Internet, anyone who's prepared to send you a puppy via a dealer, someone who's prepared to deliver to your door like a pizza are basically fueling the most horrendous animal cruelty.
 - Linda Goodman

C.A.R.I.A.D stands for Care and Respect Includes All Dogs. It also means beloved in Welsh, and it is the love of dogs which has united the several organisations to unite and fight the scurge of the dog world - puppy farms. The campaign has some impressive and influential supporters, and C.A.R.I.A.D. founder Linda Goodman has organised many events to help highlight the plight of dogs trapped in and bred by puppy farms. You can hear more from Linda in Episode 133 of DogCast Radio.

This Christmas, C.A.R.I.A.D. has brought out a charity single to raise awareness of the issue of puppy farms, and raise money to help the fight to stamp them out. In this special interview you can hear Linda Goodman explaining why puppy farms must be put out of business, and how the public can avoid buying from them. Linda also has advice for what you should do if you find yourself at a puppy farm. You can hear an extract of the C.A.R.I.A.D.Christmas single, and get some behind the scenes information from song writer Mandy Woods. To buy your copy of the single - wouldn't it be great if we could make it the U.K. Christmas Number One? - visit the C.A.R.I.A.D. at Christmas website.
