RSPCA takes on the ten year challenge

Following the success of the social media campaign, the RSPCA showcase their own 10 year success stories!

These two pictures don’t look like the same dog but lucky for Max the love and care of his new owner over the last ten years has brought him back to health.

Max, a weimaraner, was rescued by the RSPCA in 2009 from a house in Manchester, he had severe mange and was aged just three months old.

He was cared for by the RSPCA but by five months old he had been adopted by Senga Hunt of Dunbar, East Lothian.

She tenderly treated his skin condition and he has never suffered from a skin complaint since.

Senga said: “I love him to bits, he is amazing, he really is part of the family - my grandchildren all absolutely adore him. We can’t imagine life without him. I’d never had a dog before we had him but we’d never be without him now.”
