A little lamb and guardian livestock dog breeds

When Mr DogCast showed host Julie a video of one of his colleague's wives skipping with a tiny lamb, surrounded by her dogs and cats, Julie recognised a kindred spirit, and asked him to connect them. Imagine her surprise when it turned out, not only is the lady in question a fellow animal lover, she is a world class expert on and researcher into guardian livestock dogs, especially the Maremma Sheepdog.

Dr Linda Van Bommel reveals how she encountered the tiny lamb she was skipping in her kitchen with, as well as how Maremma sheepdogs protect the livestock they live with, and how that in turn can give the dogs themselves, as well as the livestock they live with, and the farmers a better quality life and less stress.

Hear this fascinating and heartwarming interview!
