Reddit AITA

Julie gives her her verdict on dog dilemmas from Reddit AITA

The first quandary Julie tackles is AITA for checking my husband's dashcam footage on his car without his consent and it's diving in at the deep end because this involves doggy difficulties, marital malaises, and parenting problems! Buckle up!

The question of AITA for saying "come to dad" to my puppy raises the issue of how should we refer to ourselves in connection with our dogs; is it ok to be our dogs' mom and/or dad? Is it anybody else's business? Are we harming anybody by asserting our petparenthood? Is it a force for good? - and with such awful things going on in the world, should people leave us dog mummies and daddies to enjoy our wholesome little worlds in peace? (Spoiler alert: the only time Julie isn't her dog's mom is when she's Jenny's dog's grandma!)

Mumsnet AIBU

Delving into Mumsnet's AIBU Julie diescusses AIBU It’s a dog one which unleashes the etiquette rules for meeting a child afraid of dogs while out on a dog walk. (Julie recalls meeting a child with Mischief and Diamond)

AIBU to get a dog? bring up the question of whether it's ok to get a dog when one of your in-laws has asthma which has been triggered by a dog. Could you stay dogless for the sake of a relative?

Dog news

In dog news stories, we consider the French Bulldog who is a lifeguard, the origins of dog domestication and the teenager who 3d printed a prosthetic limb for a rescue dog.

Plus we wrestle with the crux of investigative journalism - does a human sleep better on a dog bed than in their regular bed?
