I've just heard from Emma who is fostering a young Golden Retriever puppy called Alfie who needs urgent surgery to have any chance of survival. To find out more about Alfie and how you can help him go to www.alfiesheart.co.uk/
In Emma's words, "Alfie is a 16 week old homeless Golden Retriever puppy who is currently in foster care with myself. He was diagnosed with an extremely rare and complicated heart condition - more details available on request - which he is currently on medication to keep him stable but to have any chance of living he needs further investigation and surgery at Liverpool University. The cost of this will be in the region of £2000-£3000. If this surgery can be done he has a decent chance of pulling through and being able to be rehomed. It may not be successful, but we really think Alfie deserves a chance as he is a little fighter with so much spirit and life. "
As Emma points out, "If just 300 people each pledged £10 to Alfie, this would cover his Liverpool University vet bills."
I hope Alfie gets his chance to survive.
