DOGS TRUST DOGMOBILE GEARS UP FOR A TAIL-WAGGING TIME

Charity brings roving rehoming unit to Shropshire

On Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th January, Dogs Trust will be raising pounds for hounds at a doggie meet and greet at the Sainsburys Superstore at Telford Forge Retail Park.

The charity’s Dogmobile will be making an appearance at the venue from 9am to 4.30pm to give supporters and doting dog lovers a chance to find out more about the work of Dogs Trust and to meet some of the charity’s four legged friends.

On board the Dogmobile will be some of the pooches from the Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre in Shrewsbury, all looking for brand new homes. These charismatic canines will be on hand to greet members of the public with plenty of licks, in return for a scratch behind the ears or a tasty treat. Experts will also be on hand to offer advice on finding your perfect dog and to talk about the various opportunities to support the charity.

Dogmobile Manager, Malcolm Green, explains:

“The Dogmobile is a fun, interactive way to help people find out more about rehoming a rescue dog and the brilliant work of Dogs Trust. Whilst dogs are not directly rehomed from the Dogmobile, if you do find it’s puppy love after meeting our adorable doggies, we encourage you to visit our centres to find out more about making a new best friend.”

“You’ll also be able to find out about the charity’s fantastic ‘Sponsor a Dog’ scheme and how you can make a difference by volunteering at your local Dogs Trust centre.”

If you are interested in rehoming a dog please contact Dogs Trust Shrewsbury on 0300 303 0292 or visit the centre at Roden Lane Farm, Telford, Shrops, TF6 6BP.
