Uggie starts Dogs Trust Walk of Fame

‘PAW’ MARKS THE SPOT
Uggie starts Dogs Trust Walk of Fame

Film star Uggie yesterday visited Dogs Trust Newbury to leave a lasting impression of his visit. The four-legged star of Hollywood hit, The Artist, got his paws dirty whilst casting impressions in a specially designed pet imprint kit, marking the start of the ‘Dogs Trust Walk of Fame.’

Uggie’s visit to the Hamstead Marshall-based rehoming centre followed a special book signing of his memoir Uggie: The Artist: My Story at the nearby Newbury WHSmith store. He was also joined by some of his fellow canine friends from Dogs Trust Newbury who enjoyed living the A-list lifestyle, even if only for a short while.

Says Maureen Iggleden, Dogs Trust Newbury Rehoming Centre Manager:

“We were delighted to meet Uggie, he was so well behaved and to have a lasting memory of his visit is something that the Dogs Trust team will cherish. Dogs make great companions and as Uggie has shown they make amazing actors too!”

Uggie is currently touring the country as part of his book tour to promote his biography Uggie: The Artist: My Story. The book allows readers the opportunity to learn of the little star’s humble beginnings and his youthful misdemeanours before being taken on a page-turning journey through his career as a Jack Russell pin-up. Uggie: The Artist: My Story is published by HarperCollins, £9.99 HB and £6.99 EB.

Dogs Trust Newbury has dogs of all shapes and sizes looking for new homes, including one year-old Alfie, a tan and white Terrier.
