Mother's Day appeal from Dogs Trust

It's Mother's Day in the UK this Sunday and Dogs Trust are appealing for a new "Mom" for Libby the rough Collie:

78 % OF DEVOTED DOGS WILL SEND A MOTHERS DAY CARD THIS YEAR

But what about the Homeless hounds searching for Mutterly love?

A Mother’s Day Survey by Dogs Trust and greetings card company, Charity Greetings revealed that 78% of devoted dogs will send their owner’s a Mother’s Day card this Sunday. Sadly, not all dogs are lucky enough to have a loving human mum to receive their card on Mother’s Day. Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity has over 1400 hopeful hounds across their 17 rehoming centres all looking for permanent addresses to send their cards.

One sweet girl looking for motherly love is Libby, a six-month-old Rough Collie puppy who ended up at Dogs Trust Shoreham through no fault of her own. Little Libby has her card ready to send and is hoping to find a “pawfect “ new human mum very soon.

Dogs Trust Shoreham Rehoming Centre Manager, Tracey Rae, explains:
Libby is desperate to become part of a new family. Her siblings have all found homes and she has already prepared her card in the hope that a new owner will fall in love with her big brown eyes and give her a home. It would make the perfect Mother’s Day present to see this adorable girl find the loving mum she deserves. The lucky recipient of Libby’s card will find themselves with a new best friend for life”
Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 16,000 stray and abandoned dogs each year through its network of 17 Rehoming Centres nationwide. Potential mums are welcome to visit the centres in search of their perfect pooch and meet dogs looking for “mutterly” love. Greeting Cards can be purchased from http://greetingcards.dogstrust.org.uk.
To become Libby’s mum or to find out more about rehoming a rescue dog, please call Dogs Trust Shoreham on 01273 452576 or visit www.dogstrust.org.uk. Dogs Trust Shoreham have dogs of all shapes and sizes looking for homes and, when matching dogs with new owners, staff will consider a wide range of homes and circumstances providing that they will fit the requirements of the dog and provide them with loving lasting homes
