Dogs Trust record attempt

Would you like to be part of a record attempt? Here's the info you need:

WOOFTASTIC WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT
Call for South West dogs and their owners to join in amazing ‘Super Stay’
Dog owners and their canine companions from across the South West are being encouraged to join in the ‘Super Stay’ at Dogs Trust Salisbury’s Open Day on Sunday 7th August.
The’ Super Stay’ is an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest simultaneous dog stay. In total 628 dogs need to stay (sit, lie or transfer between the two without standing) for two minutes. Dog owners from far and wide are being encouraged to bring along their canine companion to help ensure the record is broken.
The record attempt will take place at 1pm.
Leslie Gold, Supporter Relations Officer for Dogs Trust Salisbury says:
“Dogs don’t need to be obedience champions to take part in the ‘Super Stay’; they just need to sit or lie down for two minutes by their owner’s side. And there’s no rule saying dogs can’t be bribed with treats!
“We’re aiming to get close to 1000 dogs helping out so that even with any disqualifications, we still break the record. This means dog owners needn’t worry about their dog letting the side down and everyone – human and canine - can have fun joining in.”
The Open Day & Fun Dog Show runs from 11am to 4pm in the field opposite Dogs Trust Salisbury Rehoming Centre located in Newton Tony, SP4 0HW. Admission to the event is just £1.50 per adult while children and OAPs enter free. For more information, please ring Dogs Trust Salisbury on 01980 629634.
