SURF DOG RICOCHET KICKS OFF "RAISE AWARENESS WEDNESDAYS" AS SHE ACHIEVES NEW MILESTONES - 20,000 FANS ON FACEBOOK
& $75,000 IN DONATIONS!

SAN DIEGO, CA, March 28, 2010… Surf Dog Ricochet, the SURFice dog who lives a lifestyle of helping others by pawing it forward, has achieved two new milestones yesterday - 20,000 fans on Facebook, and $75,000 in donations raised for human/animal causes. These milestones have prompted Ricochet to kick off a new initiative, "Raise Awareness Wednesdays" which will help spread the word for even more causes through her social networking platform.

Many people join Ricochet's Facebook page after watching her inspirational video, "From service dog to SURFice dog", (http://bit.ly/9jZ5uV) that went viral on YouTube with more than 3.2 million views. Others join after learning that she's the only known dog in the world that surfs tandem with special needs kids, and people with disabilities for therapeutic purposes.  Ricochet is celebrating this milestone with a new initiative called "Raise Awareness Wednesdays"where she will be raising awareness for additional human/animal causes.
"Raise Awareness Wednesdays" is for non profit, and charitable organizations that need more awareness raised for their cause.  Each Wednesday, Ricochet will post a link to her "Raise Awareness Wednesday" website page onto her Facebook page, so her 20,000+ fans can learn about the causes, and re-post the link on their Facebook pages.  Through the power of social networking, this effort should ultimately raise much more awareness.  "Raise Awareness Wednesday" will also be posted to her Twitter page, with the intention of being re-tweeted, gaining an even larger awareness platform.  If you'd like your organization included, go to http://www.surfdogricochet.com/Raise%20Awareness%20Wednesday.htm
Reaching these key milestones demonstrates how much Ricochet's worldwide community supports her efforts.  Her supporters have helped her raise funds... to the tune of $75,000 for charity in the last 17 months!  In fact, her current fundraiser for Reality Rally which benefits Michelle's Place, a resource center for women with breast cancer, was significantly funded by her Facebook supporters, garnering more than $7500 in donations.
Ricochet sincerely thanks each and every one of her supporters, and looks forward to a continued relationship, while providing them with updates featuring her surfing, day-to-day activities, fundraising efforts, causes, events, news, FUN, and now "Raise Awareness Wednesdays!"
