I was not aware that dogs could suffer from hay fever. Our Bichon, Star does have sneezing fit from time to time, but it's not pollen related. Having said that dogs do get allergies, which I suppose is what hay fever is. If you need help with your dog's hay fever this press release might interest you:
Yumega prevents Hayfever in dogs
Dogs are just as susceptible to hay fever as humans, but many dog owners do not recognise the signs of a seasonal allergy in their pets.
Dogs can inhale pollen granules in exactly the same way as people, but the resulting responses are different. While we tend to react with a runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing, a dog will show his reaction on his skin. This is because the histamines released by the body in response to pollen in animals are mostly released in the skin rather than in the nose and eyes.
Over 33% of our nation's dogs show increased skin irritability and prolonged scratching* caused by Hayfever. This can cause hair loss and coat damage, as well as making a dog feel very uncomfortable and miserable.
It's not just by inhaling pollen that a dog can suffer Hayfever either. Direct contact with the skin can also trigger these responses so frolicking in a grassy meadow this summer could leave your pet with a persistent itch.
One simple way to guard against the irritating symptoms of Hayfever is to make sure your pet's natural skin defences are in tip-top condition. By adding Yumega to your pet's diet, pollen and other allergens will find it more difficult to get into the skin, so it no longer requires scratching.
Yumega is a 100 per cent natural dietary supplement that contains the key omega 3 and 6 oils, as well as vitamin E that make up the skin's natural defences.
The omega 6 and 3 oils contained in Yumega improve animals' skin health by increasing essential fatty acids that are lacking in their diet. By simply adding Yumega to your pet's diet you will be improving his skin condition, alleviating any itchy or sore skin and also reducing hair loss by up to 30 per cent.
JoAnne Good Breakfast Presenter BBC Radio London enthused:
“I have a six month old, white bulldog called Matilda who, like most of her breed, suffered with skin problems. I was given a bottle of Yumega by a friend and used it with suspicion initially. However, from the first day, the rash on her tummy began to disappear as did the sore pink skin within her facial folds, which were usually raw (another bulldog complaint). People then asked me if I'd just bathed her, as her fur was so soft, but she has never had a bath. Yumega has given her a glow of health. If I could drink it myself ..I would!”
Poor skin health is often linked to an inadequate diet of processed pet food, and exposure to weather extremes. Yumega's essential fatty acids moisturise your pet from within, leaving him resistant to allergens and looking fantastic with a healthy glossy coat.
Enjoy the dog days of summer this year with an itch-free, silky smooth, happy pet.
