Star and her ear obsession

I love this photo of Star finally getting her man. She had been trying for ages to lick his ear, and he had fended her off and fought valiantly for ages. Then at last she wore him down and he gave in.

She’s just so intent on licking, and he’s laughing and squirming at the same time, it always makes me smile.

Star was only a tiny puppy at the time, and it must have had a real effect on her, that early licking of Anthony’s ear, because it has left her with a taste for all things ear related. She is at her happiest if she can get hold of a pair of Anthony’s ear plugs and retreat to her bed to chew them up.

Recently she found herself in the doghouse when she scrabbled in Jenny’s bag and discovered her mp3 headphones. They were duly dragged from the bag and thoroughly chewed. Needless to say, no music will ever be listened to on them again!

They do say you should start as you mean to go on when you get a puppy, so clearly we should have kept her away from ears. Still, I’m sure she would have found something else to focus her destructive powers on, so I suppose it could be worse.

Take care,
