Get your running shoes on and support The Mayhew Animal Home

Would you like to get – or stay – fitter, and raise money for a great cause at the same time? If so, do think about entering the Run Hackney Half Marathon and getting sponsorship to raise funds for the Mayhew Animal Home. Run Hackney has been running for 4 years now and has attracted growing support. It’s now established as one of the top ten half marathons in the UK. It takes place at Hackney Marshes in London, is flat and fast paced, the route is lined with supporters, and live entertainers offer distraction to runner.

If you run for The Mayhew you can make a huge difference to the animals in their care. The Mayhew is working towards a world in which animals are respected and treated well – and you can help make that happen. Registration for Run Hackney Half Marathon costs £20, and the minimum sponsorship is £150.

If you have an appetite for more running, The British 10k London Run is scheduled for 9th July this year. It is always hugely popular, with entries regularly filling up ahead of time, and is now in its 17th year. The event sees 25,000 runners from the UK and abroad running and raising money for charity.

You could run for The Mayhew Animal Home and raise funds for dogs and cats who are abandoned, unwanted or neglected. It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced runner or if this will be your first race – all are welcome. The registration fee is £25, and the minimum sponsorship is £200.
